Fall/Winter 2011-12 Fashion Trend I- Color

The distinct dominant colors of FW2011/2012 are pure in general and dark in tone. The basic colors for FW2011/2012 are black, brown and gray. Eco-friendly life style trend, natural tone colors are expected to be highly featured and in fashion.

Point colors: Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow



1. Green and Blue
A combination of green and blue tone colors has been introduced into many collections of FW2011/2012. This combination can be found in the FW 2011 collections of Marc Jacobs, Gucci and Haider Ackermann.

















2. Red
Red tone colors were presented in a new compound. The red tone expanded to include dark pink; the shade of dress line in Gucci FW2011, hopbush and blackberry colors in the Christian Dior FW2011.











3. Brown
Brown was not introduced as a prominent color for the upcoming fall and winter season. The color was however found in the recent Carolina Herrera Collection, which introduced metallic look fabric dresses, and in the Vera Wang Collection of soft earth nude tone dresses.











4. Grey
Grey, soft and elegant tone colors were introduced in various chroma throughout the FW2011/2012 collections. Grey tone dresses are found in recent Christian Dior, Bottega Veneta and Vara Wang collections.












5. Yellow
Yellow tone colors were presented in a clever mix with varying floral prints. The yellow color in the floral print dresses enhances femininity. Givenchy, Rodarte and Bottega Veneta showcased the color yellow in their FW 2011 dress collections.












5. Black
Pure and Avant-garde black combination was expressed with feathers and leather elements.
